Հարությունյանն ու Դ. Դավթյանը պայմանավորվածություն են ձեռք բերել, որ նույն օրը, ժամը 01։20-ի սահմաններում պետք է հանդիպեն Ռիգայի փողոցում։

Հարությունյանին ուղեկցել են եղբայրը՝ Արաբկիր 23 փողոցի բնակիչ, 43-ամյա Արմեն Հարությունյանը, Զ. Քանաքեռցու փողոցի բնակիչ՝ 37-ամյա Գևորգ Սուքիասյանը, Արաբկիր 23 փողոցի բնակիչ՝ 43-ամյա Աղասի Սուքիասյանը և Արաբկիր 17-րդ փողոցի բնակիչ՝ 35-ամյա Սոս Եսայանը։ Վիճաբանության ժամանակ կողմերից մեկն ինքնաձիգից կրակահերթ է արձակել, իսկ մյուս կողմն էլ գազային ատրճանակից է կրակոց արձակել։

Ոստիկանները, ձեռնարկելով անհրաժեշտ օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումներ, Ս. Եսայանին Արաբկիր վարչական շրջանում հայտնաբերել ու բերման են ենթարկել Արաբկիրի ոստիկանություն, որտեղից էլ նա ներկայացվել է Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Երևան քաղաքի քննչական վարչության Արաբկիրի քննչական բաժին, որտեղ ավագ քննիչ Տիգրան Միրզոյանի որոշմամբ՝ որպես կասկածյալ, ձերբակալվել է։
