Microsoft планирует изолировать драйверы сторонних производителей в Windows 10

Крупный апдейт для операционной системы Windows 10, который выйдет к концу текущего года, принесет с собой весьма важное изменение — драйверы от сторонних поставщиков будут храниться в изолированной папке. Об этом, со ссылкой на представителей корпорации Microsoft, сообщает портал WindowsLatest.

Речь идет о грядущем обновлении, известном как Windows 10 21H2 (кодовое название — Sun Valley). В новой версии популярной операционной системы от Microsoft будет изменена система хранения системных драйверов. Теперь драйверы от сторонних производителей будут перемещены в специальную папку.

На первый взгляд кажется, что в этом нет ничего сколько-нибудь важного, но предполагается, что новшество повысит стабильность системы. Сейчас ОС хранит все драйверы в папке DriverStore, которая находится в каталоге System32 Windows. После выхода обновления сторонние драйверы будут храниться в специальной папке OEMDRIVERS, которая появится в каталоге Windows. При этом, система, как и раньше, будет проверять цифровую подпись драйвера перед копированием в новую папку.

Считается, что новый подход повысит стабильность ОС, особенно в случаях, когда обновление сторонних драйверов происходит часто. Новшество уже сейчас тестируется на предварительных сборках Windows 10, доступных участникам инсайдерской программы «Майкрософт», передает Planet- today.
