Why shouldn't you bathe your children too often?Lifestyle
Bathing babies too often can lead to rashes and infections, as well as exacerbate skin conditions such as eczema, Australian general practitioner Sam Hay noted.
According to The Mirror, there is no medical need for daily bathing of the child. It is best to do this every 2-3 days.
The optimal frequency depends on the climate in which the family lives, the activity of the baby, his cleanliness, and possible skin diseases. For example, if a child suffers from eczema, frequent bathing can dry out the skin. To prevent this from happening, you should avoid soap whenever possible and use moisturizers.
The specialist noted it is also not worth delaying with water procedures, since dirt increases skin irritation, promotes the development of bacteria, and leads to problems, for example, skin infections.
