Վերջին օրերին Հայաստանի հանրային շրջանակները աշխուժորեն փորձում են «գտնել» նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի անսպասելի հրաժարականի պատճառները կամ մոտիվը: Ներկայացվում են ամենատարբեր վարկածներ, ներքին՝ ներիշխանական հարաբերությունների դաշտից մինչև աշխարհաքաղաքական տիրույթ: Կարող ենք ընդգծել Սարգսյանը առնվազն գործում է հայ ժողովրդի հանդեպ ստորություն:

Մինչ հասարակական-քաղաքական շրջանակները վիճարկում էին Սարգսյանի՝ նախագահի պաշտոնում ընտրվելու օրինականությունը՝ վկայակոչելով, որ նշանակման պահին Արմեն Սարգսյանը երկքաղաքացիություն ուներ, ուստի օրենքի խախտմամբ է դարձել նախագահ, 2018-ի ապրիլի 26-ին՝ վարչապետ ընտրվելուց առաջ, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարեց, որ հանդիպել է նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանի հետ. «Պարոն Սարգսյանն իր հետ բերել էր նաև փաստաթղթեր այն մասին, որ ինքը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի քաղաքացիությունը կորցրել է 2011 թվականի դեկտեմբերին»։ Սրանով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը լեգիտիմացրեց Սարգսյանին, սակայն փաստաթղթերն այդպես էլ չհրապարակվեցին, և միակ հավաստումը մնաց Փաշինյանի գրառումը։ Չի բացառվում, որ այդ կոմպրոմատը Փաշինյանը, իրեն հարմար փուլում հնարավոր էր հետագայում նաև խաղարկեր և փակուղի մտցներ բազմափորձ Սարգսյանին։

Նշենք նաև, որ Փաշինյան-Սարգսյան պայմանավորվածության մասին անտեղյակ են եղել բոլորը՝ Փաշինյանի թիմակիցները և անգամ ՔՊ վարչության կազմը։ Նրանցից ոմանք հրաժարականից հետո մասնավոր զրույցներում չէին թաքցնում, որ իրենց համար ևս անսպասելի էր Սարգսյանի հեռացումը։ Որոշ շրջանակներ էլ վստահեցնում են, որ Արմեն Սարգսյանը պայմանավորվածից վաղ է հեռանում։ 

Իր հրաժարականի ուղերձում Արմեն Սարգսյանը նշում է պատճառները, որոնք համոզիչ չեն։ Ըստ դրանց՝ ինքը բավարար սահմանադրական լիազորություններ չուներ երկրի արտաքին ու ներքին քաղաքականության վրա ազդելու, ճգնաժամը կանխելու համար։

Ըստ էության, իրականության հետ աղերս չունեն Արմեն Սարգսյանի կողմից ներկայացվող այն թեզերը, թե իր իրավունքները սահմանափակված են եղել, կամ գործունեության համար չեն եղել բավարար պայմաններ, ապա շտապենք փաստել, որ երբ նա ստանձնում էր նախագահի պաշտոնը, ապա իր առջև հստակ դրվել են այն «ռամկաները», որոնց շրջանակում նա պետք է ծավալեր իր գործունեությունը։ Ավելին, 2018-ի իշխանազավթումից հետո, երբ Հայաստանում օրվա իշխանությունների կողմից սկսվեցին իրականացվել բացահայտ հակասահմանադրական քայլեր ՍԴ որոշումներն ԱԺ-ով վավերացնելու և նման այլ որակի հակաիրավական դրույթներ, Սարգսյանն իր լիազորություններն ակնհայտ փոխանցեց խորհրդարանին։ Ասել է, թե նման պնդումը, թե ինքը կաղապարված է եղել, շարքային մանիպուլյացիա է։
