Նրա խոսքով՝ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի սահմանին հրադադարը ձեռք է բերվել Ռուսաստանի ջանքերի շնորհիվ, այդ թվում՝ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի և ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի զրույցից և ՌԴ ԱԳՆ-ի աշխատանքից հետո:

Ըստ Կարասինի՝ երկու երկրների սահմանին տիրող իրավիճակի առնչությամբ դեռ շատ աշխատանք կա անելու, քանի որ Երևանը դիմել է ՀԱՊԿ-ին:

Հիշեցնենք, որ ժամը 00:05-ից, Ադրբեջանի ԶՈՒ ստորաբաժանումները Գորիսի, Սոթքի և Ջերմուկի ուղղությամբ հրետանային միջոցներից, խոշոր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներից սկսել են ինտենսիվ կրակ վարել հայկական դիրքերի ուղղությամբ՝ կիրառելով նաև ԱԹՍ-ներ:

ՀՀ ՊՆ-ի հաղորդագրության համաձայն՝ առավոտյան 8-ի դրությամբ իրադրությունը հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին էական փոփոխություններ չի կրել։ Հակառակորդը շարունակում է Վարդենիսի, Սոթքի, Արտանիշի, Իշխանասարի, Գորիսի և Կապանի ուղղություններով կիրառել հրետանային միջոցներ, ականանետեր, ԱԹՍ-ներ և խոշոր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներ՝ թիրախավորելով թե՛ ռազմական և թե՛ քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքները։ Սահմանի որոշ հատվածներում դիրքային մարտերը շարունակվում են, հակառակորդը չի դադարեցնում առաջխաղացման փորձերը։

ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն Ազգային ժողովում հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին տիրող իրավիճակը ներկայացնելու ժամանակ հայտնել է, որ, նախնական տեղեկություններով, ունենք 49 զոհ, սակայն այս թիվը վերջնական չէ. վերջնականը կհայտարարվի ՊՆ-ի կողմից հստակեցումից հետո։
