What to do If you’ve already become a victim of fraud

If you’ve fallen victim to fraud and your bank card data has been compromised, you must immediately call your bank and request that your card be blocked. You can also transfer all funds from the card to your account using online banking.
If you’ve shared a one-time password (OTP) with the fraudster or entered it on a suspicious website—and you realize that a loan might be issued in your name—call the bank immediately and explain the situation. Even if you just suspect something unusual, contact the bank for your safety.
If you later discover that a loan has already been issued in your name, take your bank statements and report the incident to the police.
Of course, prevention is always best. Follow all security guidelines:
- Never share your online banking password or PIN code with anyone.
- Do not provide the full card details or OTP under any circumstances.
- If someone calls claiming to be from your bank and asks for personal information—don’t share it. No legitimate bank will request such data over the phone.
