ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի ապրիլի 4-ի հրամանագրերով մի խումբ հայ և իտալացի գործիչների շնորհվել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետական բարձր պարգևներ: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, հայրենիք-սփյուռք կապերի ամրապնդման, հայապահպանության գործում ներդրած ավանդի, ինչպես նաև ակտիվ հասարակական գործունեության համար Վատիկանի ռադիոյի հայկական բաժնի ղեկավար Ռոբերտ Աթթարյանը (ԻՏԱԼԻԱ) պարգևատրվել է Մովսես Խորենացու մեդալով:

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության անկախության ճանաչման գործում ներդրած նշանակալի ավանդի, ինչպես նաև հայանպաստ ակտիվ հասարակական-քաղաքական գործունեության համար «Նախաձեռնություն հանուն Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի» հասարակական կազմակերպության նախագահ Էմանուելե Ալիպրանդին (ԻՏԱԼԻԱ) պարգևատրվել է Մովսես Խորենացու մեդալով:
