Ռուբեն Հակոբյանը ԱԺ- վերջին քառօրյայի ժամանակ ելույթ ունենալով նշել էր, որ 1995-ի Սահմանադրությունը կեղծիքներով է պարտադրվել, իսկ նրանք, ովքեր այն ժամանակ դա արեցին, հիմա փորձում են սևերի ու սպիտակների բաժանել ամեն ինչ: Նա նաև խորհրդարանական ընդդիմությանը կոչ արեց այսօրվա իշխանություններին ամեն օր ծափահարել, քանի որ այն ավանդույթները, որը ժամանակին որդեգրել են ՀՀՇ-ականները, լավագույնս կատարում են այսօրվա իշխանությունները: «Ասում էիք՝ պետք է կեղծելով վերարտադրվենք, մարդիկ անում են՝ ի՞նչ եք ուզում: Դուք մի հատ դարակազմիկ եզրույթ ունեիք, որ պոլի փետ լինի՝ ՀՀՇ լինի: Այս մարդիկ կատարելության են հասցրել դա: Սա ենթադրում է, որ ինչքան հանցագործ, ժուլիկ լինի, կխցկվի իշխանություն: Հիմա անում են, ի՞նչ եք ուզում: Դուք լավագույն դաշնակիցն եք այսօրվա իշխանությունների»,- իր ելույթի ժամանակ ասել էր Ռուբեն Հակոբյանը:

ՀԴԿ նախագահ Արամ Գասպարի Սարգսյանը, ում ղեկավարած կուսակցությունը ՀՀՇ-ի տարիներին ընդդիմադիր դաշտում էր գործում, Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ ինչպես ասել է Ռուբեն Հակոբյանը, 1995 թ. հենց այդպես էլ եղել է: «Այդ ժամանակ մենք վեց կուսակցությունով միավորվեցինք և ստեղծեցինք Սահմանադրության մեր տարբերակը և առաջարկեցինք այդ տարբերակը նույնպես ներկայացնել հանրությանը հանրաքվեի ժամանակ: Իհարկե նրանք մերժեցին մեզ, չնայած, որ մենք շատ լուրջ աշխատանք էինք կատարել և կեղծիքներով անցկացրեցին իրենց տարբերակը: Դա միանշանակ այդպես է»,- ասաց Ա. Սարգսյանը:

ՀԴԿ առաջնորդի խոսքով՝ այդ տարիներին այն, ինչ եղավ, դարձավ բոլոր այն կեղծիքների սկիզբը, որոնք շարունակվեցին հետագա տարիներին նույնպես: Ինչ վերաբերում է ներկայիս իշխող կուսակցության և նախկին ՀՀՇ-ականների (կամ ներկայիս ՀԱԿ-ի) գործելաոճի նմանությանը, կուսակցության առաջնորդի կարծիքով, եթե ներկա և նախկին ՀՀՇ-ականները ժամանակին՝ 1998-ին քավարանով անցնեին, ինչպես իրենք կոմունիստներից և մյուսներից էին պահանջում և ընդունեին իրենց մեղքը, ապա միգուցե այսօր բարոյական իրավունք կունենային խոսել արդարության, սկզբունքայնության և այլ բաների մասին: «Բայց քանի որ դա չարեցին և հիմա էլ անվերջ փորձում են պնդել, որ իրենց ժամանակ իրենք ամեն ինչ ճիշտ են արել, պարզ է, որ պետք է նման արձագանք լինի նրանց հասցեին»,- ասում է Ա. Սարգսյանը:
