Չնայած ՄԻՊ Կարեն Անդրեասյանի հրաժարականը նոր հարցականներ առաջացրեց, բայց պարզից էլ պարզ է, որ արդեն երկար ժամանակ է, ինչ դարձել էր իշխող քաղաքական ուժի ներկայացուցիչների թիվ մեկ հակառակորդը: Ավելին, նրա կողմից ԱԺ ներկայացրած զեկույցները ոչ միայն «սրերով ու թրերով էին» ընդունվում ՀՀԿ-ական պատգամավորների կողմից, այլև այդ օրերին մի յուրահատուկ մրցավազք էր սկսվում, թե ով ավելի ճկուն կգտնվի ու նրա ներկայացրած փաստերն ավելի «հիմնավոր» կջրի: Իրար թասիբի անվերապահորեն կանգնելու ավանդույթը ՀՀԿ-ի մոտ լավ է ստացվում: Նրանք երբեմն այնքան են ոգևորվում, որ նույնիսկ տպավորություն է ստեղծվում, թե կորցրել են իրականությունը սթափ գնահատելու կարողությունը: Հակառակ դեպքում Կարեն Անդրեասյանի զեկույցներին ոչ թե այդ աստիճան արհամարհանքով կվերաբերեին, այլ շնորհակալություն կհայտներին, որ նա փորձում է իշխանությունների ուշադրությունը կարևորագույն հարցերի վրա պահել, ոչ թե եղած բացթողումները սովորական շաղախով սվաղելով ու առաջ շարժվելով էր զբաղված:

Ինչևէ, սա Հայաստանն է և ամենևին էլ կապ չունի, թե մարդը լավ է աշխատում, թե ոչ, կամ իր տեղում է արդյոք: Կարևորն այն է, թե այս կամ այն կառույցի ղեկավարը որքանով է իրենց քիմքին համապատասխանում, իսկ այն, որ Կարեն Անդրեասյանը վաղուց ՀՀԿ-ականների քիմքով չէ, անգամ անզեն աչքով էր տեսանելի: Թեև ներկայիս օմբուցմենը խոստացել է, որ իր հրաժարականի պատճառների մասին մեկնաբանություններ չի անելու, բայց հասարակությունը դեռ երկար ժամանակ կփորձի այս կամ այն կերպ պարզել դրա իրական պատճառները:

Փաստաբան Հայկ Ալումյանը Orer.am-ի հետ զրույցում ասաց, որ թեև քաղաքականությունից շատ հեռու է ու դժվարանում է Կարեն Անդրեասյանի քայլը մեկնաբանել, բայց նրա հրաժարականին բացասական է վերաբերվում և շատ ափսոսանքով: Հարցին, թե Կարեն Անդրեասյանը կարծես թե վատ չէր աշխատում, ուստի ինչը կարող էր նրան այդ քայլին մղել, Հ. Ալումյանը պատասխանեց. «Նա ոչ թե վատ չէր աշխատում, այլ շատ լավ էր աշխատում, բայց չգիտեմ՝ ինչը կարող էր նրան նման քայլի մղել: Ինքը չի մեկնաբանում, ես էլ չեմ ուզում ենթադրություններ անել: ՄԻՊ գրասենյակը շատ լավ աշխատող կազմակերպություն է, և շատ եմ ափսոսում, որ Կարեն Անդրեասյանը հրաժարականի դիմում է ներկայացրել»,- ասաց, Հ.Ալումյանը:
