Երեկ Հոլոքոստի միջազգային օրն էր, ինչի շուրջ Orer.am-ը զրուցեց Հայաստանում հրեական համայնքի ղեկավար Ռիմա Վարժապետյանի հետ. «Արդեն 11 տարի է, ինչ ողջ աշխարհը ոգեկոչում է Հոլոքոստի զոհերի հիշատակը: Հունվարի 27-ին մենք հավաքվել էինք Հոլոքոստի ու Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշարձանի մոտ ու ծաղիկներ խոնարհել: Պետք է նշեմ, որ մենք չենք տարանջատում մի ազգի ցավը մյուսից»,- ասաց Ռ. Վարժապետյանը:

Ինչպես նշում է Հայաստանում հրեական համայնքի ղեկավարը, ամեն ինչ պետք է անել, որ մարդիկ չմոռանան այն ոճրագործությունների մասին, որոնք տեղի են ունեցել տարիներ առաջ:

«Պետք է ուսումնասիրել տարբեր փաստաթղթեր ու աշխատություններ, պետք է գոռալ ու աղաղակել կատարվածի մասին: Պարտադիր կերպով պետք է երգեր գրել այդ թեմաներով ու ֆիլմեր նկարել: Գտնում եմ, որ պետք է լինեն ինստիտուտներ, որոնք անընդհատ ու անընդմեջ կզբաղվեն այդ գործերով` նման կերպով պահպանելով անմեղ զոհերի հիշատակը: Փառք Աստծո, ինչպես Հայաստանում, այնպես էլ Իսրայելում կան նման ինստիտուտներ, որոնք զբաղվում են գիտահետազոտական աշխատանքներով: Կարծում եմ, որ այդ ինստիտուտներն ու դրանց կատարած աշխատանքները չպետք է պատկանեն միայն թանգարաններին, ամեն մի բացահայտման ու ուսումնասիրման մասին պետք է իմանա յուրաքանչյուր աշակերտ, ուսանող, ԶԼՄ-ները, ողջ հասարակությունը: Ամեն ինչ պետք է բարձր մակարդակի վրա իրականացվի: Այն, ինչ մատուցվեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակի շրջանակում, պետք է շարունակական բնույթ ունենա: Ինչ վերաբերում է մեր թշնամիներին, ձեր թշնամիներին, ապա կարող եմ ասել, որ դրանք նույն ահաբեկիչներն են: Բարեկամ երկրները պետք է միշտ օգնեն մեզ խնդիրները լուծելու համար: Ե'վ Իսրայելում, ե'ւ Հայաստանում կան ուժեր, որոնք փորձում են խզել այս երկու պետությունների դրական հարաբերությունները, սակայն մենք պետք է ուշադրություն չդարձնենք դրանց ու շարունակենք մեր աշխատանքը չլռելով նաեւ հենց տվյալ ուժերի քայլերի մասին»,- խոսքը եզրափակեց նա:
