Պեկինում փետրվարի 14-ին մեկնարկել Է առեւտրական տարաձայնությունների շուրջ երկօրյա ամերիկա-չինական բանակցությունների հերթական փուլը: Չինաստանի պատվիրակությունը գլխավորում Է ՉԺՀ-ի Պետխորհրդի փոխվարչապետ Լյու Հեն, ամերիկյան կողմից դրանց մասնակցում են ԱՄՆ-ի առեւտրական ներկայացուցիչ Ռոբերտ Լայթհայզերը եւ ֆինանսների նախարար Սթիվեն Մնուչինը:

Նախօրյակին ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը Սպիտակ տանը լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է, որ երկուշաբթի սկսված նախնական բանակցությունները «շատ լավ են ընթանում»: Նա նշել Է, որ չինական կողմը «ապշեցուցիչ հարգանք Է դրսեւորում մեր նկատմամբ»:

Հունվարի 30-31-ին բանակցությունների վաշինգտոնյան փուլն ավարտվել Է առանց համաձայնագրի ձեռքբերման: ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահն ավելի վաղ երկուստեք ձեռնտու համաձայնագրի ձեռքբերման համար որպես վերջնաժամկետ Է սահմանել մարտի 1-ը: Հակառակ դեպքում ԱՄՆ-ը Չինաստանից ներմուծվող 200 մլրդ դոլար արժողությամբ ապրանքների սակագները 10 տոկոսից կբարձրացնի մինչեւ 25 տոկոս:
