«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է

Երեկ ընդդիմությանը զուգահեռ հանրահավաք էր հրավիրել նաև Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, ինչը նույնիսկ իշխանական կուլիսներում համարում էին «ուժի ցուցադրության հավաք»: Չնայած կիրառված աննախադեպ վարչական ռեսուրսին, Հանրապետության հրապարակում հավաքվածները սակավաթիվ էին, մեծ մասն էլ կա՛մ ոստիկաններ էին, կա՛մ հրապարակ բերված պետական ծառայողներ: Փաստացի, իշխանություններին չհաջողվեց նույնիսկ մոտենալ իրենց ակնկալած քանակին: Իսկ ի՞նչ ասաց Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը: Առավելապես ոչ մի նոր բան. «նախկինների» թեման հասկանալի է, դա մշտական է, ներողություն խնդրեց՝ վստահ, որ դա բավարար է, բայց հանրահավաքի իմաստն, ըստ էության, մեկն էր. Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ընդդիմությանը յուրատեսակ «գործարք» առաջարկեց, այսպես ասած՝ «թասիբի» գցեց՝ եթե վստահ եք, որ ժողովուրդն իմ հրաժարականն է պահանջում, եկեք գնանք արտահերթ ընտրությունների:

Միևնույն ժամանակ ուշագրավ էր կիսանախագահական համակարգի անցնելու թեզը. փաստացի, Փաշինյանը ակնարկեց, որ արտահերթի չգնալու դեպքում ինքը կդիմադրի մինչև աշուն, Սահմանադրության մեջ փոփոխություններ կանի, կանցնի կիսանախագահական համակարգի ու այդ դեպքում կանցկացվեն նախագահական ընտրություններ: Սակայն այս ամենը ներկայացվեց իրեն յուրահատուկ պաթոսով, բղավոցներով, մասսային իրենով անելու իր ունակությամբ ու, ամենակարևորը, մեծագույն պոպուլիզմով, որն այս իշխանության միակ հաջողված կողմն է: Դրա վկայությունն էր արտահերթի պարագայում իբր նախապես մտածված նախընտրական լոզունգը՝ «Վերջ թավիշին»: Իբր, որովհետև, ի վերջո, փետրվարի 25-ին հենց ինքն էր խոստովանել, որ իր կողմնակիցներն ուզում են լսել հենց այդ լոզունգը:

Հանրահավաքից հետո սոցցանցերի նույնիսկ հպանցիկ ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ օգտատերերը հավաքը մեծամասամբ գնահատում էին որպես անասելիք, դատարկախոսությամբ և առավելապես կեղծ թեզերով բեմականացված շոու, որն առաջին հերթին ուղղված էր իր թիմին՝ ցույց տալու, թե ինքը ամուր կանգնած է ոտքի վրա: Ի դեպ, ուշագրավ է, որ թե՛ հավաքի ընթացքում, թե՛ հատկապես ավարտից հետո, երբ Փաշինյանը հարյուրավոր ոստիկաններով շրջապատված (տպավորություն կար, որ նրանք մասնակիցներից շատ են), քայլերթ սկսեց, Հանրապետության հրապարակից շատերն արագ բարձրանում էին Բաղրամյան պողոտա՝ միանալու ընդդիմությանը:
