Ամեն տարի պասիվ ծխելու պատճառով աշխարհում մահանում է մոտ 1,3 մլն մարդ

Մոտ 1,3 մլն մարդ աշխարհում ամեն տարի մահանում է պասիվ ծխելու հետեւանքով։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը 2023թ. ծխախոտի գլոբալ համաճարակի մասին իր զեկույցում։

«Ամեն տարի ծխախոտի երկրորդային ծխի [ծուխ, որն արտաշնչում է ծխողը, ինչպես նաեւ արձակվում է ծխախոտից] ազդեցությունից մահանում է մոտ 1,3 մն մարդ։ Այդ բոլոր մահերը կարելի է կանխել»,- նշել են զեկույցի հեղինակները։ Նրանք հիշեցրել են, որ պասիվ ծխելը «ստեղծում է մահվան ռիսկեր սիրտ-անոթային, շնչառական, օնկոլոգիական հիվանդություններից, կաթվածից եւ 2-րդ տեսակի դիաբետից»։ ԱՀԿ-ում կարծում են, որ բոլոր երկրները, անկախ իրենց եկամուտի մակարդակից, «հնարավորություն ունեն կրճատելու մահասփյուռ ծխախոտի արտադրանքի պահանջարկը»։

Աշխարհի 44 երկրներում, որտեղ ապրում է 2,3 մլրդ մարդ, ընդունված չէ ԱՀԿ երաշխավորած վեց հակածխախոտային միջոցներից, որոնք ստացել են MPOWER անվանումը, ոչ մեկը։ Հանձնարարականների այդ համալիրը, որը ստեղծվել է 15 տարի առաջ, ներառում է ծխախոտի օգտագործման մոնիթորինգը, մարդկանց պաշտպանությունը ծխախոտի ծխից, օգնության տրամադրումը ծխելը դադարեցնելու նպատակով, նախազգուշացումը ծխախոտի հետ կապված վտանգների մասին, ծխախոտի արտադրանքի գովազդի վերահսկողությունը եւ դրա հարկերի բարձրացումը։ ԱՀԿ-ում երկրներին կոչ են արել «արագացնել ծխախոտի ծխից ազատ շրջակա միջավայրի մասին օրենքների ընդունումը»։

Զեկույցում նշվել է, որ «չնայած ուժեղ ընդդիմությանը» ծխախոտի արդյունաբերության եւ նրանց կողմից, ովքեր կապ ունեն դրա հետ, աշխարհի պետությունների գրեթե կեսը ընդունել է օրենքներ ռեստորաններում, սրճարաններում եւ բարերում ծխախոտի ծխից լիովին  ազատ տեղերի ստեղծման մասին։ Պետությունների երեք քառորդը մտցրել է կանոններ, որոնք մարդկանց պաշտպանում են ծխախոտից բուժական եւ ուսումնական հաստատություններում։

Զեկույցում դրական են գնահատվել վերջին մեկուկես տասնամյակում ծխելու դեմ պայքարի ոլորտում տեղի ունեցած տեղաշարժերը։ Ծխողների բաժինն աշխարհում  կրճատվել է՝ 2007թ. 22,8 տոկոսից 2021-ին հասնելով 17 տոկոսի, ինչը «համաշխարհային հանրության հավաքական եւ համակարգված ջանքերի արդյունքն է»։ «Եթե այդ բաժինը չկրճատվեր, ապա այսօր կլինեին 300 մլն հավելյալ ծխողներ»,- փաստել են փորձագետները։

2022թ. 5,6 մլրդ մարդ ապրել է այն երկրներում, որտեղ իրականացվել է MPOWER վեց հանձնարարականներից գոնե մեկը։ Դա հինգ անգամ ավելին է, քան 2007թ.։ «ԱՀԿ-ն համառորեն կոչ է անում բոլոր երկրներին լիովին իրականացնել MPOWER միջոցները, որպեսզի զսպվի ծխախոտի համաճարակը, որն [ամեն տարի] 8,7 մլն մարդու կյանք է խլում ողջ աշխարհում եւ պատնեշ դնել ծխախոտի արդյունաբերության լոբբիստական ջանքերի դեմ»,- ասել է ԱՀԿ առողջության ամրապնդման հարցերի վարչության ղեկավար Ռոդիգեր Կրեխը։
