ՀՅԴ կուսակցության անդամ Լիլիթ Գալստյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է.
«Վահանի մասին խոսք ասելու կարիք շատերն ունեն և ասում են։ Եվ հաստատ, ասում են ոչ թե ասելու սիրույն, այլ մի քիչ ամոքվելու ու ամոքելու, նաև հավատալու… Ցավն անկեղծ է, անսահման, մխիթարվելը դժվար, ավելի դժվար՝ հաշտվելը.
Բոլորն են անակնկալի եկել։ Նույնիսկ նրանք, որ գիտեին աննահանջ հիվանդության մասին, դժվարանում են հավատալ։ Դժվարանում են, որովհետև մահը չէր սազում Վահանին, մահը Վահանի համար չէր, Վահանն այնքան ապրեցնող էր, վահանավարի անխոցելի, մահվան աչքերի մեջ նայած, կյանքն արժևորող…
Մենք ու ՆԱ հրաշքի էինք սպասում ու մտածում՝ մահն ու՞մ շունն է…
Անհավատալի էր նույնիսկ օրեր առաջ, երբ անգամ Գերմանիայից ժամանած ինքնաթիռն այլևս վերջին հանգրվանի հասցե էր ճշտել, անգամ այսօր, երբ մեր խոնարհված դրոշների, մեր կարկամած հայացքների ու «Վերքերով լի ջան ֆեդայու» հնչյուններն ներքո գնացիր միանալու գաղափարի զինվորներին, նրանց, ովքեր ապրեցին «ամեն բանէ վեր Հայրենիք» հավատամքով ….
Ականջներիս մեջ, Վահան, քո ձայնն է, անկաշկանդ, բայց երբեք չցավացնող հումորդ, հայացքիս առջև՝ քո ազնվական, գերող ժպիտը, կյանքի բոլոր գույները, վերելքներն ու վայրէջքները ճաշակած աչքերիդ փայլը…
Անհնար է հավատալը, ավելի դժվար՝ հաշտվելը։
Ասում են մարդուն ճանաչում են մարտի դաշտում ու ճանապարհին։
Վահանի հետ մարտի դաշտում չեմ եղել։ Այնտեղ՝ Շահումյանում, Գետաշենում, Արցախում, ուր կոփվում, նվաճվում էր Հայաստանի անկախությունն ու արժանապատվությունը շատերի հետ ու շատերի պես դու ճանաչեց մահը ։ Բայց կար արդյոք Հայրենիքին ու արյամբ ժառանգված ուխտին ծառայելու այլ միջոց…չկար, նույնիսկ, եթե անգամ մնացյալ ողջ կյանքի համար բաժանվում էիր գիտությունից ու պաշտելի մասնագիտությունիցդ՝ հնագիտությունից։
Հետադարձ չկար, ու դու լավ գիտեիր, քաղաքական դաշտից հետադարձ չի լինում, մանավանդ որ պայքարն այլևս ազատ, անկախ, արժանապատիվ ու արդար հայրենիքի պայքար էր։
Արդար ու ազատ պետություն-հայրենիքի համար Վահան, դու պատրաստ էիր նաև զրկվել քո տեսակի համար ամենաթանկ բանից՝ ազատությունից։ Դու լավ գիտեիր՝ ո՜չ անկախությունը, և ո՜չ էլ հաղթանակները հենց այնպես՝ առանց զոհաբերության չեն տրվում։ Վահան, դու պատրաստ էիր զոհաբերության. մեզ ու շատերիս համար ուղիղ մեջքով քայլելու ճանապարհն էիր հարթում, եթե նույնիսկ այն անցնում էր ճաղավանդակների միջով։
Վահանի հետ մարտի դաշտում չեմ եղել, բայց նրան ճանաչել եմ ճանապարհին, այն անհանգիստ ու ցավոտ ճանապարհին, որի անունը հանուն Հայաստանի պայքարն էր։ Իսկ այդ ճանապարհը միայն Հայաստանով չէր անցնում։
Վահանի կողքին լինելն ու նրա հետագծով անցնելը դպրոց էր, նրա կողքին հպարտ էիր, որովհետև արքաների ժպիտներից ու բարձր ամբիոններից չէր նվաղում նրա կամքն ու չէր ընկրկում նրա համոզումը, Վահանի կողքին վստահ էիր, նա գիտեր ավելին, քան մենք բոլորս ու տեսնում էր ավելին, քան մենք բոլորս։ Վահանի կողքին ամուր էիր, որովհետև Հայրենիքի գինն ու զորությունը 42 հազար քառակուսի կիլոմետրով չէր հաշվում, ոչ էլ ժամանակավոր տերերին նույնացնում հողն ապրեցնողի հետ։ Վահանի կողքին հպարտ էիր, որովհետև նա բարձր էր ամբոխից ու քեզ էր բարձրացնում, Վահանի կողքին ազնիվ էիր ու իմաստուն, նա տեսնում էր կեղծիքի ու ստի սահմանն ու չէր թողնում, որ հաշտվեիր դրա հետ։
Առաջինը ինքը չէր հաշտվում՝ անհաղթահարելի հիվանդությունն անգամ ոչինչ էր անանձնական տագնապների կողքին ու նա մեր ժամանակների մայրամուտը կասեցնելու զանգն էր գուժում։
Երբեք չեմ ընդունել «անփոխարինելի մարդիկ չեն լինում» հաստատումը։ Համոզումս ավելի է կարծրանում այս օրերին, երբ փորձում եմ Աստծո անմնացորդ շռայլությամբ աշխարհ եկած Վահան տեսակ փնտրել։
Վահան, մենք ավաղ անկարող էինք քո ֆիզիկական մայրամուտը կասեցնել, բայց քո տեսակի առաքելությունը պարտադրում է մի քիչ Վահան լինել, այնպես ապրել, որ Մայրամուտը երբեք չմոտենա մեր Հայրենիք-երկրի հորիզոնին։
