Յոթ տարի անց Ֆերնանդո Տորրեսը վերադարձավ իր հարազատ ակումբ՝ մադրիդի «Ատլետիկո», հայտնում է Orer.am-ը:
Տորրեսը վերադարձավ այնտեղ, որտեղ ինչ-որ ժամանակ առաջ սկսել էր. հենց «Ատլետիկո»-ի ակադեմիան է աշխարհին պարգևել ժամանակակից ֆուտբոլի ուժեղագույն հարձակվողներից մեկին: Այստեղ Տորրեսը բացել էր պրոֆեսիոնալ կարիերայի իր գոլերի հաշիվը, ստեղծել իր համար անուն, ստացել Իսպանիայի ազգային հավաքականում հանդես գալու հրավեր և վաստակել «Լիվերպուլ»-ի հետ պայմանագիր:
Մերսիսայդցիների կազմում նա հանդես եկավ չորս մրցաշրջան և հասցրեց հեղինակել 60 գոլից ավելի, ինչի համար էլ Ռոման Աբրամովիչի «Չելսի»-ն ներդրեց խելահեղ 50 միլիոն ֆունտ ստերլինգ` Տորրեսին գնելու համար: Սակայն ինչպես հետագայում պարզվեց, նեդրված հսկայական գումարները ֆուտբելիստի հետ չար կատակ խաղացին:
Թվում էր, թե Տորրեսի աստեղային ժամը դեռ առջևում է, բայց ամեն ինչ ստացվեց ճիշտ հակառակը: Ավելի քան 14 հանդիպում անցկացնելով «արիստոկրատների» կազմում և այդպես էլ չկարողանալով հեղինակել իր դեբյուտային գոլը՝ նա դարձավ չար լեզուների և ֆուտբոլային քննադատների համար ծաղրի առարկա: Արդյունքում` հարյուրից ավելի հանդիպում անցկացրած հարձակվողին հաջողվեց մրցակցի երկրպագուներին տխրեցնել ընդամենը 20 անգամ՝ կասկած չհարուցելով, որ իր ու «Չելսի»-ի հետագա համագործակցությունը շուտով կավարտվի:
Ինչքան էլ որ պարադոքսալ հնչի, Տորրեսի կարիերայի լոնդոնյան ժամանակահատվածը՝ տիտղոսների նվաճման տեսանկյունից, դարձավ ամենահաջողվածը: Մայրաքաղաքային թիմի հետ նա նվաճեց Անգլիայի, Չեմպիոնների լիգայի և Եվրոպայի լիգայի գավաթները, ինչպես նաև Իսպանիայի հավաքականի կազմում դարձավ «Եվրո 2012»-ի հաղթող: Սակայն թիմի գլխավոր մարզչի՝ Ժոզե Մոուրինյոյի համար սաների տիտղոսների հավաքածուն ոչ մի նշանակություն չունի, և Դիեգո Կոստային ու Դիդիյե Դրոգբային գնելով՝ նա իսպանացուն պարզ հասկացնել տվեց, որ վերջինս չի մտնում իր և թիմի հետագա ծրագրերի մեջ:
Տորրեսին վաճառելը, կարելի է ասել, անհնար էր թվում: Եվրոպայում քիչ ակումբներ կան, որոնք կարող էին բավարարել «Չելսի»-ի և Տորրեսի ֆինանսական պահանջները: Մնում էր միայն վարձավճարի տարբերակը: Եվ հենց այդ ժամանակ հայտնվեց «Միլան»-ը, որին անհրաժեշտ էր «Լիվերպուլ»-ի շարքերը համալրած Մարիո Բալոտելիին փոխարինող գտնել: Կողմերը եկան Տորրեսի դեպի Իտալիա երկամյա գործուղման պայմանավորվածության, այսինքն` մինչև լոնդոնցիների հետ պայմանագրի ժամկետի ավարտը:
Իսպանացու կարիերան նորաձևության մայրաքաղաքում սկսվեց բավականին հաջող. նոր ակումբում արդեն երկրորդ` «Էմպոլի»-ի հետ մրցավեճում, Տորրեսn աչքի ընկավ դարպասի գրավումով: Բայց հետո՝ հաջորդ ութ հանդիպումներում, նրան ոչ մի անգամ չհաջողվեց վառել իր անունը լուսատախտակին: Մինչև ձմեռային ընդմիջումը կայացած վերջին խաղերը նա անցկացրեց պահեստայինների նստարանին՝ զիջելով հարձակման կրակագիծը Ժերեմի Մենեզին:
Կրկին սկսեցին տարածվել հարձակվողի՝ նոր հնարավոր տեղափոխման մասին լուրեր, և այս անգամ իր նախկին սանի հանդեպ հետաքրքրություն ցուցաբերեց մադրիդի «Ատլետիկո»-ն: Մադրիդցիներին անհրաժեշտ էր Մարիո Մանջուկիչին արժանի մրցակից թիմի կազմում, ինչու չէ նաև փոխարինող, քանի որ, ըստ ԶԼՄ-ների, վերջինս տեղափոխվելու էր մառախլապատ ամբիոն, որպեսզի համալրեր «Մանչեսթր Սիթի»-ի կազմը:
30-ամյա իսպանացու կարիերայի վերակենդանացման համար «Ատլետիկո»-ն, թերևս, ամենալավ տարբերակն էր: Տնային պայմաններում և իր գոլերը շատ լավ հիշող տրիբունաների աջակցությամբ Տորրեսը կարող է վերադարձնել իր երբեմնի փառքը, ինչ ապացուցվեց մադրիդի «Ռեալի»-ի և կատալոնական «Բարսելոնա»-ի հետ գավաթային հանդիպումներում, երբ երկու թիմերի հետ էլ հանդիպումների ժամանակ դարձավ գոլի հեղինակ, ընդ որում, նա դա արեց հենց մրցավեճի առաջին րոպեյին: Ինչ խոսք, լիգայի չեմպիոնի առջև դրված խնդիրները շատ լուրջ են, ուստի հմուտ և փորձառու հարձակվողի օգնությունը նրանց հաստատ չի խանգարի:
Կարելի է ենթադրել, որ Տորրեսը թերևս կազատվի այն հզոր ճնշումից, որը կար նրա վրա «Չելսի»-ում և «Միլան»-ում հանդես գալու ժամանակ: Եվ ինչ-որ չափով նրան ձեռնտու է այն փաստը, որ ֆուտբոլային հասարակությունn արդեն խաչ է քաշել նրա վրա` որպես լավ գոլահարի:
