Այստեղից երկինքն ավելի մոտ է, 

Հրե՛ն, դիպչում ես ձեռքդ մեկնելիս, 

Դաշտերն ամենուր քրտինքոտ են՝ 

Քրտինք է խմում հողը հերկվելիս: 

Արդար է հացը, հունձը մշակի, 

Որ կյանքն է տվել սևահողին:

Իսկ իր սրտի անարատ ոսկին 

Թռցնում է երախը հոշոտողի: 

Ծաղիկների մեջ մեղուների պարսեր 

Ու նանաներ աղբյուրների ակերին, 

Ով նրա աղբյուրներին է հասել, Էլի է դարձել այդ հրաշքներին: 

Օղակ հյուսելով լեռներ վիթխարի, 

Արարման փառքը դեռ իրենց վրա, Ամուր պահում են մեջ բազուկների 

Մի փոքրիկ ադամանդ-քաղաք: 

Ահեղ Գեղամն է՝ թոռը հզոր Հայկի 

Հիմնադրել զուլալ ջրերի ափին, 

Ամենուրեք լեփ-լեցուն ցորեն ու ոսկի, 

Ոսկեշենը՝ սրտում արեւ-արփին: 

Կուսական, անապական ու վայրի 

Տե՛ս, խոյանքներ են լեռները ձևում, 

Իսկ բազմությունը մռայլ ամպերի 

Մերթ կիտվում են, մերթ էլ՝ ցրվում: 

Այստեղ երկինքը ավելի մոտ է,

Շուրթերդ օրհնվում են նրան երգելիս, 

Ամեն երգ հոգու մի անգին աղոթք է 

Ուղղված քեզ՝ իմ սեր-Վարդենիս:

Անկումներով հայնեական, 

Կծկվում եմ ու կռնչում 

Զառանցանքով նէական: 

Մութն է ճոճվում դեմքիս

Դեմս են ելնում երկու աչքեր
